Knoll Farm Today

Knoll Farm Today

Today, Knoll Farm remains a commercial working farm and has since 1976 operated a Beef and Sheep enterprise. It focuses on producing quality beef and lamb under the Farm Assured British Beef and Lamb scheme.

Approximately 300 acres are farmed over the knoll and stretching down over the south and east faces and onto the flat land below.

We will be pleased by arrangement to take guests on a tour of the farm where they can see the Brentmarse Herd of Pedigree South Devon Cattle and Mule Ewes and experience a taste of life on the farm.

Knoll Farm in History

Knoll Farm in History

The Champion family have farmed at Knoll Farm since 1918 when the farm was purchased by the present owner’s grandparents. The family can trace its ancestors back to a Robert Champion born in the village of East Brent in 1685. It is likely that Knoll Farm encompasses some of the same land that would have been tilled by Robert Champion, over 300 years ago.
