There are a plethora of things to do and see close to Knoll Farm to suit all tastes. We have tried to give you a flavour here, but please tell us when you make an enquiry about the things that you like to do and we will be happy to make some more specific recommendations.

We want to make all our guests stay at Knoll Farm as enjoyable as possible. Please let us know what your interests are and we will be happy to make recommendations.

If you are interested in any adventure activities or you have some specific requirements, please do let us know when you book, so that any necessary arrangements can be made in advance. We don't want you to be dissappointed if your chosen activity is unavailable at the time of your visit.



Beaches

Knoll Farm provides an ideal base to enjoy one of the best regions in Britain for a beach holiday.

Several Sandy beaches are located within 4 miles. Seven miles of golden sands stretch from Burnham-on-Sea to Brean Down, and immediately to the North lie the beaches of North Somerset.

Somerset offers a fine range of quiet coastal walks and charming seaside villages with stunning views across the Bristol Channel.

Knoll Farm is situated near Burnham on Sea which is positioned close to the centre of Bridgewater Bay. The Bay occupies the sweeping arc of coastline between the wave-cut platform of Jurassic Blue Lias at the northern tip of the Quantock Hills and the cliffs of Carboniferous Dolomites and Limestone at Brean Down which project into the Severn Estuary and provide some degree of protection from the erosive tidal currents.

The countryside around Knoll Farm is varied. Knoll Farm is on the edge of the Somerset Levels and Moors, but also close to the Mendip Hills & Caves as well as the coastline and beaches.

Many visitors come to Somerset and close to Knoll Farm are many visitor attractions for all the family. If you are interested in Stately Homes and Castles or Museums; if your family enjoy a day at an adventure park or at the Zoo - there is so much to do close to Knoll Farm, one visit will not be enough!!  There are far too many visitor attractions for us to include them all here but we have selected a few of our favourites to give you a flavour of the days out that you can enjoy during your stay at Knoll Farm.

Golf

There are many excellent golf courses situated close to Knoll Farm. Several of these offer Championship Links so that there is something for both the professional and amateur. As well as the Golf Courses there are a number of driving ranges and pro shops in the area - please ask us for further details.

Horse riding

Horse riding

We are often asked about horse riding in the area. Whether you want a hack over the mendips, a gallop along the beach or if you would like to take a lesson and improve your technique, we are sure that there is something for you at one of the riding stables in the area.

Fishing

There are well stocked fishing lakes, rivers or sea angling available close to Knoll Farm. Pike and Trout fishing are available from boat or bank. For the complete novice fishing lessons, including fly fishing lessons are also available.

Cycling

Cycling

There are a number of opportunities for cycling in Somerset. If you would like to take a cycle ride in the countryside, bikes can be hired locally. There are also opportunities for off road mountain biking for the more adventurous. We are also close to two of the best BMX tracks in the UK at Cheddar and at Burnham on Sea.

Walking

Walking

Walking is always a popular pursuit, if you are looking for a short walk in the morning over Brent Knoll or an evening stroll, there are several footpaths in East Brent. In the local area there are also a number of longer walking routes.

There diverse countryside offers walks along beaches, rugged coastline, woodland, lakeside, hill & moor. If you are an enthusiastic walker or if you just fancy taking in some nature one sunny afternoon, we are sure that we can help you find some walks that you will enjoy.

Adventure Activities are becoming more and more Popular and there are a number of providers activities such as rock climbing, pot holing, water skiing and many more. We do recommend that you ask about these activities before you visit us as spaces are often limited.
